They say there’s two subjects never to bring up in polite conversation - religion and politics. Well, that’s exactly what this podcast is going to cover - my two favorite subjects. Throw in a little bit of banjo music and you’ve got a great listening experience coming your way.
I urge you to learn along with me. I don’t claim to be an expert in any field, but I do desire to explore exciting concepts and ideas that shape our lives, culture and relationship with God. That’s why I seek to bring on a variety of different guests, even a few folks I’m going to have sharp disagreements with from time to time. We might talk about anything ranging from reformed theology to the electoral college. My hope is that God might use this podcast to deepen your faith, broaden your mind, and have a little fun while doing so.

Let me introduce you to a rare find - a decent man running for office. This week I introduce you to Phil Anderson, a Libertarian running for US Senate here in Wisconsin. Phil has my endorsement, listen in to find out why.

Wisconsin voters will be heading to the polls on Tuesday, August 13 to vote on two referendum questions that would see to change our state constitution. On this special bonus episode, I'm going to put on my teacher hat and seek to let you know both sides of this debate. While I will be voting yes to both questions, I think you will see I treat each guest with respect and try to find common ground with each guest. Disagreement doesn't have to be filled with vitriol.
Saying we should vote yes is Dan Degner, President of Wisconsin Family Counsel. Voting no is State Senator Mark Spreitzer (Democrat- Beloit).

On this episode Pastor Joe Walls from People's Church in Beloit talk about a struggle we go through from time to time, discouragement. This was supposed to be one episode, but as Joe and I got to talking, it turned into three! So, you'll want to listen to this conversation for sure. Of course, this being recorded in the summer, I had to mock Joe's sweater. I love these sweaters, but my wife always refers to mine as my "old man sweater."

In a dark and troubled world, joy can be a hard thing to find. The very pursuit of joy can seem like an overwhelming burden at times. But author Jennifer Michelle Greenberg is here to give us a different perspective, a much more Biblical perspective. True joy points us to Christ and His strength, it is not a command to muster up on your own. You won't want to miss this episode!

This evening, the nation is in shock. Former President Donald Trump was the victim of an unspeakable and reprehensible act of violence, a political asination attempt. Blood stained the side of his face as brave secret service agents shielded Trump with their own lives. One supporter has been seriously injured and tragically, another has been ushered into eternity. The shooter was taken down quickly and will now face eternal consequences for his despicable final act. Right now, we pray.

Many of you are like me, so-called "double haters" - those who don't like either major party candidate for President. I'm a #NeverTrump conservative without much of a political home. So, I'm looking at third party candidates. On this episode I interview Randall Terry, a pro-life advocate nominated by the Constitution Party to run for President. Warning - this just might be the most controversial interview I've ever recorded. Buckle up for this wild ride!
